Elpis Kinabalu Conquerors!
The team comprising of Elpis Staff and Financial Advisers took up the challenge to climb the region's tallest mountain between the 10th to 11th of April. Having trained for many months and weeks, the team was ready and raring to go for the climb.

Preflight to Kota Kinabalu
Nonetheless, the climb to the top required much determination and perseverance. Held over two the days, team members had to travel a distance of 6KM on the first day of the climb to reach Laban Rata, a resort on the mountain that is 3KM away from the peak.

Half-way there!
Arriving at Laban Rata Resort around 6-7pm, the team rested for a few hours before they were up and running again at 2am. The climb was scheduled this way so as to give climbers four hours to reach the peak and catch the breaking of dawn at the top.

At the
peak! Finally!

The breaking of dawn at the peak
When the team reached the peak, it was all the way downhill from that point onwards. Interestingly, it was not the uphill that was difficult but the downhill as the going down had a force impact on the legs and knees of climbers.

When the climbers reached the bottom of the mountain, it was finally a time of rest and relax at Pines Resort for a night before it was time to return home to Singapore again.
